My life in words!

Life is so full of beauty and happiness we find and make. I love moments when our eyes are opened up to the simple pleasures of love, life and laughter. I love the small moments that become such great memories. I love the ability of seeing beauty beyond words, hearing melodies so sweet, tasting things so equisite, touching textures so soft, speaking words so kind, smelling scents so clean and fresh, and loving deep and pure. Life is a gift and each day we unfold new treasures.

Give Back!

Ok so I am super excited and want to share that excitement with the world. I have decided to do a project in which I am gathering supplies to make little hygiene kits which I am eventually going to donate to the Ronald McDonald House and I just can't wait. This may to some seem so trivial but I guarantee to you that this has sure been what it is, a "project". I opened the phone book and began to call local dental offices and hotels telling them what I am doing and asking them to donate 2-3 items such as toothbrushes, paste, floss, shampoo, soaps and lotions. I can't believe how much people have helped and as for now I have only been turned down 3 times. Yay! People have been so great some have donated hundreds of items which has been so awesome. I began putting these kits together tonight and just doing this has made me so excited and happy. To give back is such a great thing. Now I say give back and to say that would mean that I would have had to recieve something in the beginning right? Yes! And I have.

Almost 4 months ago my youngest brother Westin had to have his entire colon removed, he is 16. This was such a tramatic and stressful event but one of the greatest blessings of his and our lives. His colon was no good and had so much damage that surgery was basically his only option. He has suffered from ulcerative colitis since he was 12 and has been in pain the entire time. He finally had the darn thing removed and has done amazing! He was in the hospital for only 10 days which all his doctors were saying was the minimum he would stay. He has healed and is continuing to heal wonderfully.

During his stay in the hospital my parents alternated nights in his room (only one parent was allowed) and the other parent and I would stay the night in the Ronald McDonald House since it was our most affordable and closest choice to the hospital at the time. During this stay my heart was so touched by all the wonderful volunteers who worked at the House and for all those who made donations in order to help it run and help families who need it. If you dont know what the RMH is, please look it up. It is amazing and has helped families for years. They are run basically off of donations. Food, hygiene supplies, and bedding all of which is donated. I wanted to be a part of this so I am putting together these little hygiene kits for families who had no time to pack because someone had to be life flighted or they had to leave for the hospital in the middle of the night as many families do etc. Its my way of thanking and helping. And it feels so great! Check it out.

so blessed

Oh well its about time I started to feel my peppy positive self again. And to think all I had to do this whole time was stop focusing on my problems and do something for someone else. I think we get so caught up in our own lives and selfish desires to really open our eyes to what gifts are right in front of us. Right now I am so super thankful for all that I have, those people I have in my life, and the ability and power to do something for someone else. I had been going through a couple of self loathing weeks where I just felt worthless and down on myself. I have moved to a newish area where I have had to adjust back to my surroundings and get my barings back on track. Ive had to accept the fact that I cannot control everything in my life and sometimes I have to set my pride aside. And I just needed to be awakened again to my blessings (I started to "doze" off). I have a family who at times may make me wanna ring theirs or my neck and sometimes I want nothing to do with them; but I wouldn't trade them for the world. I have the most adorable niece who has no idea how much it touches my heart to hear her say "Aunt Becky". My heart melts with every word she says and everything she does. I love her. My family may have its trials but thats where we get our strengths. I have the most amazing extended family. They are such a blessing in my life. I have the greatest friendships and some which are so rare and I feel so lucky to posess. I have 2 brothers serving missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I love and support them both. I have the greatest parents and adopted parents, grandparents and adopted grandparents, cousins, and adopted cousins and I hold the world in my pocket.
I wouldn't change a thing I dont think.....some days are great trials that I feel I wont overcome, but eventually I always know I will.
Thats my thoughts today, but tomorrow they may change again....But this is always in my heart.

Thursday

My "vents" needs to be "vented"... Here I go...

Okay so a little bit on my mind....more like a LOT on my mind. These days have been so crazy, I am so tired literally tired of my animals. They are always doing something sneaky and causing my anxiety levels to rise. The dog keeps on holding in her "issues" until she is inside. She can do it outside on the grass but NO she would rather tottle away from me in one fleatin second and Crap in my room. :( Grrrr. Then my poor little kitty is still learning to use the litter box properly and occasionaly steps in her little duties....NOT COOL. I always have this fear of it so I check her paws almost EVERY time she uses this box and sometimes I have to run her into the bathroom and wash her feet. EEEeeew... :'( I have made the decision that my animals shall be outdoor animals one day and that is the way it will stay, FOREVER. As soon as I have a house with a yard, they are outa here. Poop anywhere out there for all I care jeeeez.
My stress is crazy these days it seems that all it takes is the crazy St. George heat mixed with the drama of my days, and BAM I am one frazzled girl. I need a vacation so freakin bad. Any ideas?..

Temple Happys

Having had a wierd past couple of days, this experience was a little slice of happiness in the middle of so much chaos and confusion. While driving to the library today I was sitting in the car still feeling a little sick from something that made me sick yesterday; when I drove past the St. George temple and all of a sudden I felt so comfortable and happy, and it was as though the wonderful feelings of being around the temple were leaking out through the fence and touching those passing by. It was wonderful and I can't really even explain the feeling other than I know I want to go back. :)
