Ten things I love from my Childhood
1. My Imagination, oh how the world seemed so colorful and bright and full of adventure
2. Summer Break: sleeping in, staying up late.
3. My childhood boyfriends! I can't tell you how many times Ive been "married" in my neighbors back yards, or how many little love notes I wish i'd kept. I even got those plastic 25 cent rings from one boyfriend. Oh the days!
4. Sleepovers: and all the fun those entailed...night games, movies, shopping, girly girl fun. etc.
5. Playing House with Nilly. My Grandparents basement was the greatest "apartment" for me and Nilly to be grown up women who ruled the world, (and had hot boyfriends);P
6. Living in the "world" not the "real world" (sometimes being grown-up just sucks). haha
7. Night Games: Ghost in the Graveyard, The many forms of Tag, Fugitive..."ready or not here I come!" or/ "peaches peaches pumpkin pie, if your not ready holler I". hahaha and many more. Sometimes the best night games were just door bell ditching and so on..hehehe
8. The fact that I swore I was going to be a lawyer or a doctor or a Nurse or something amazing. It never occured to me at the time all the school that would be involved or blood or trama...Everything was always so sugar coated back then. It was better that way I think.
9. Kool-Aid Stands! It's so cool how making $2+ dollars could make you feel so rich. After a long hot afternoon of selling warm sticky paper cups of Kool-Aid for 25 cents. It felt so earned. and then we would blow it on candy haha...
10. Playing on the playgrounds. The ground was always hot lava or the ocean and you couldn't touch it because you'd melt or the "gators" would get you. (I have no Idea why gators would be in the ocean, but...)My days of playing on the playground usually revolved around a Star Wars theme, im not really sure why? But me and my friend were always the damsels in distress and the boys would have to save us. Good times.

10 days of 10 things
1. Losing a loved one
2. Spiders/Bugs/Insects
3. Clowns
4. Tight Spaces
5. Being forced out of my comfort zone
6. Car wrecks
7. Viewings (funeral viewings)
8. Horror Movies
9. Snakes
10. Horrible People in the world
Thats me on a more serious note. Im not always so hard edged and spouting my opinions. Although I do tend to speak my mind ;) Im just me and thats ok. Fears and all.
10 Days of Ten Things
Day 3
Ten fads I think are wierd and will never understand...
1. Boys wearing their baby sisters pants...aka "skinny jeans".
why would you want to exentuate what is going on in there, or lack of it. 8P
2. Trucker Hats! Ummmm why?
3. Jelly Shoes.
First of all they make your feet really sweaty which defeats the whole open sandle type purpose. But if you were extra classy your "jelly's" had glitter. ;)
4. Leggings!
Not so much that people wear these under their pants, but the fact that some people started mistaking them AS pants! Hello I can see your butt crack! and neon green underwear.
5. Uggs! They are EVERYWHERE.
People even wear them in the middle of the summer! From Top to Bottom it would go...Sunglasses...Tank top...Shorts....& BAM!! Uggs. Thats seriously like an oxi-moron. What are you a southern Eskimo? Its 110 degrees out here invest in some flip flops. Whatever floats your boat I guess!
6. Blue Tooth headsets.
For the longest time people all over the world became crazy and started talking to themselves. Ok well for the longest time thats what I thought, until I realized they were actually talking to someone...through their ear piece. So many times I would have almost full conversations with someone only to realize that I was the one talking to myself, and I didn't even have a blue tooth. :(
7. SFPIIM: Speaking Full Phrases In Instant Messaging! OMG, TTYL, WTF, JK, LOL, ROTFLMAO, G2G, GR8, CUL8TR, and my personal favorite... HMWTIDSICBHOT. which says...Hey Mom What Time Is Dinner So I Can Be Home on Time? hahahaha ok so I made that one up. WTF? hahaha LOL
8. The Sticker Family!
So it is cool now to show the world how many people are in your family by putting stickers on your cars. "Oh how cute, they have 3 boys and 2 girls and a puppy and a cat"..I feel so much better knowing that. Like I care to see that the Dad likes to surf, the Mom has curly hair, the Boy likes to skateboard, yadiyadiyadi. I guess it makes the red light or traffic jam go by faster learning someone elses family history. Thanks "Johnson" Family. And I WILL try to remember What Jesus Would Do.
I want to see a crazy cat lady put some on her car so it will have a stick figure in a moo-moo and like 57 cat decals. AWESOME. What about broken families? Or mixed...oh this could get very interesting.
9. Livestrong bracelets:
Ok I will admit when the yellow livestrong bracelet came out I was like ooooh I gotta have one. But now I have one in every color for every cancer or disorder known to man and I also have some that say CTR and like Adopt a Pet and such, come one people im running out of arm room and the ability to support every cause on the planet.
10. Purse Pets.
Dogs were not made to shop all day while riding in a Prada bag. Poor thing want's to Gucci outa there ;)
10 Days of 10 things
Movies I could watch over and over and over...
1. John Tucker Must Die..
"I'll let you in on a little secret. My mom says I'm special on the inside"; "There's indisputable evidence, that I might have caused the explosion... and actually, he will tell you that it's my fault... but clearly I said to him "Dear God, MAN, you are on fire... RUN for your life."
2. Dumb and Dumber..
"We got no food, no jobs... our PETS' HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!"---"I got robbed by a sweet old lady on a motorized cart. I didn't even see it coming"--- "I excpected the Rockies to be a little rockier than this, yeah! That John Denvers full of $h!t man."
3. The Saint
4. The Lovely Bones
5. What Happens in Vegas..
"You know what? I can get a couple of my brother's loser ass friends to go over to Mason's apartment , knock on the door and when he opens it wham! They'll junk-punch him all up in his man business and he'll fall to the floor whaling and crying "why?" and then we'll say "you know why!"
6. Any of the Classic Disney Movies
7. Any movie with John Wayne, or Audrey Hepburn
8. One Missed Call
9. Clueless..
"I would like to say this. Tardiness is not something you can do on your own. Many, many people contributed to my tardiness. I would like to thank my parents for never giving me a ride to school, the LA city bus driver who took a chance on an unknown kid and last but not least, the wonderful crew from McDonalds who spend hours making those egg McMuffins without which I'd never be tardy"---"So okay, I don't want to be a traitor to my generation and all but I don't get how guys dress today. I mean, come on, it looks like they just fell out of bed and put on some baggy pants and take their greasy hair - ew - and cover it up with a backwards cap and like, we're expected to swoon? I don't think so".
10. She's the Man..
I skipped a couple grades. I'm brilliant. Shh"---"Speaking as a completely objective third party observer with absolutely no personal interest in the matter"..
hahaha many more, but these ones have been known to be in my DVD player for long periods of time. :)

Ten things that annoy me
(in no order)
1. Flaky people! Seriously annoying
2. Cereal Commercials...no I do not feel inspired to buy your cereal now after seeing that creepy 30 second clip on t.v.
3. People rubbing toes or fingers together and make that dry scraping noise. Ahhhh its so gross!
4. Snobs!..“The true snob never rests; there is always a higher goal to attain, and there are, by the same token, always more and more people to look down upon”. ...I am so sick of snobby people who think that now they have some money they dont care about you anymore. Hey! I have money!! Maybe just not as much as you but I still have some.(I got like some quarters and dimes) pshhh.. :P
5. Posers! Meaning people who act like something they totally aren't. Or those creapy old navy mannequins. Psycho
6. Know it alls. If you think you know it all dont come talk to me about it, because I really do know it all, and your wrong ;)
7. The 3D Movie craze. Seriously everythings is 3D now. Like I care to see some water droplets flying at me, I will go out in a rainstorm and look up for that.
8. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time. I know where my watch is buddy, where the heck is yours? Do I point at my crotch when I ask where the bathroom is?
9. When people say "It's always in the last place you look". Of course it is. Why the heck would you keep looking after you've found it? Do people do this? Who and where are they?
10. Emo's. I know your troubled but um keep it to yourself! haha jk I really do care, just not for your fashion.

Project H.U.G
Its called project HUG and it stands for HOPE, UNITE and GIVE and I just started it so its still just a baby! But it has been an idea in my head for quite some time now and it just kinda started forming and now its somewhat here. (If any of that even made any sense). I want to share my "message" on this project and want to encourage anyone who stops by and reads this to spread the word. Spread a hug to everyone and anyone around you. Everyone can use a hug and it never hurts to give back in any way we can. Volunteer in your community or abroad. Help a needy family or friend. Whatever you do, just be involved and love what you do. There is nothing more fulfilling in this life than donating your time and/or love to those around us who are lacking something in their lives. If everyone was to give 1 hug a day to a complete stranger I honestly believe our world would be more peaceful. I mean come on, so much happiness. :) Hug Someone!

and now the beginning of it all:
Project: HUG
Hope, Unite, and Give
r.olsen
About 4 months ago my youngest Brother Westin had to have his entire colon removed, and was in Primary Children’s Hospital for 10 days. While my brother was in the hospital, I and my parents (rotating) stayed our nights in the Ronald McDonald House. At the time it was our most affordable choice since we came from 4 hours away.
While in the Ronald McDonald House I couldn’t help but feel like I was in the home of a great big family where everyone was united. It was such a wonderful feeling to know that you are not alone and you have people to relate to who are all going through something. I was also so touched by how much the RMH helped families, and how communities and people from all over help in keeping it running.
I’ve always saved my pop tops to donate but decided I wanted to do more. That’s when I decided to gather hygiene supplies to donate, because many people have to travel from far and sometimes they don’t have time to pack, leaving them without basic items such as toothpaste, floss, shampoo, soap etc. It’s a trivial thing but I know that it can mean so much to those who need it.
I am so thankful for the blessings I have in my life, and I am so glad to say that my 16 year old brother has healed and continues to heal amazingly every day.
Today I want to send a HUG. I hope you can feel it. And I hope that the love and support will encourage everyone to help in any way they can. If we all do a little it can do so much. Get involved, help others and if nothing else, share a hug. I don’t know anyone in this world who can have too many hugs and sometimes a hug can go further than anything else.
Together we can hope for the better, Unite with others, and give back.

“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone”.
“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other”.
“Not to live for the day, that would be materialistic -- but to treasure the day. I realize that most of us live on the skin -- on the surface -- without appreciating just how wonderful it is simply to be alive at all”.

Monday
Give Back!

Ok so I am super excited and want to share that excitement with the world. I have decided to do a project in which I am gathering supplies to make little hygiene kits which I am eventually going to donate to the Ronald McDonald House and I just can't wait. This may to some seem so trivial but I guarantee to you that this has sure been what it is, a "project". I opened the phone book and began to call local dental offices and hotels telling them what I am doing and asking them to donate 2-3 items such as toothbrushes, paste, floss, shampoo, soaps and lotions. I can't believe how much people have helped and as for now I have only been turned down 3 times. Yay! People have been so great some have donated hundreds of items which has been so awesome. I began putting these kits together tonight and just doing this has made me so excited and happy. To give back is such a great thing. Now I say give back and to say that would mean that I would have had to recieve something in the beginning right? Yes! And I have.
Almost 4 months ago my youngest brother Westin had to have his entire colon removed, he is 16. This was such a tramatic and stressful event but one of the greatest blessings of his and our lives. His colon was no good and had so much damage that surgery was basically his only option. He has suffered from ulcerative colitis since he was 12 and has been in pain the entire time. He finally had the darn thing removed and has done amazing! He was in the hospital for only 10 days which all his doctors were saying was the minimum he would stay. He has healed and is continuing to heal wonderfully.
During his stay in the hospital my parents alternated nights in his room (only one parent was allowed) and the other parent and I would stay the night in the Ronald McDonald House since it was our most affordable and closest choice to the hospital at the time. During this stay my heart was so touched by all the wonderful volunteers who worked at the House and for all those who made donations in order to help it run and help families who need it. If you dont know what the RMH is, please look it up. It is amazing and has helped families for years. They are run basically off of donations. Food, hygiene supplies, and bedding all of which is donated. I wanted to be a part of this so I am putting together these little hygiene kits for families who had no time to pack because someone had to be life flighted or they had to leave for the hospital in the middle of the night as many families do etc. Its my way of thanking and helping. And it feels so great! Check it out.

I wouldn't change a thing I dont think.....some days are great trials that I feel I wont overcome, but eventually I always know I will.
Thats my thoughts today, but tomorrow they may change again....But this is always in my heart.
